Buying your Sex Toys at Walmart?

More and more we are hearing about how sex toys are becoming more mainstreams, vibrators in particular. As in my blog yesterday, even the New York Times discussed in a recent article how the combination of toys being both more acceptable and more widely available is changing public perception. Women of all ages are becoming more knowledgable about themselves and how our bodies work. This education helps both them and their partners know better how to find that pleasure that we're all looking for.

LiveScience also posted and article just yesterday saying that half of all Americans use vibrators. And why not, I say? There are studies linking a healthy sex life with people having less stress, more intimate relationships and as the article points out, possibly even better health! ("In fact, female vibrator users were significantly more likely to have had a gynecological exam during the past year and to have performed genital self-examination during the previous month.")

Now I am not saying that you can't have a perfectly amazing sex life without the use of vibrators. Of course you can! BUT, like chocolate syrup on ice cream (as well as whipped topping, nuts and a cherry!), sometimes it's nice to change things a bit. And, sometimes it's even necessary. As we learn more about the body and mind, we are finding out just how different men and women's arousal and orgasms are. What's easily achieved by one person, may not be for another. That doesn't make one person more 'normal' than another any more than the fact that I struggle with dieting and my aunt struggles with trying to GAIN weight.

So whether you're trying to add a little spice to the bedroom or just explore how things can feel differently with arousal creams, toys and other bedroom accessories, Pure Romance is a great way to do that. Can you imagine asking the teenage kid in Walmart what a good choice for a vibrator might be? What about lubes...is this one more slippery or will this one for someone more sensitive? Women can get their girlfriends together to play games, sample edible products, and view all the different types of toys with a professional, educated consultant. It's a fun, comfortable way to just see what all the buzz is about ;)
